Apptronik opens Robot Park to train Apollo 2 humanoids

Apptronik has opened an expanded Robot Park in Austin, Texas, a nearly 90,000-square-foot facility unveiled on June 30, 2026, to train Apollo 2 humanoid robots on repeated workplace tasks. According to the report, Apollo 2 is offered in two configurations: a bipedal robot that walks and a wheeled-base model designed to meet existing industrial safety standards. The latter combines a humanoid upper body with mobile-base movement for industrial settings.

At Robot Park, the robots are said to repeat logistics, manufacturing, and retail work. Each repetition is recorded and sent to Google DeepMind to train Gemini Robotics, which the article describes as an AI system for robots. Apptronik’s approach is presented as a data loop in which robot work produces examples intended to improve its intelligence stack. Comparable training arrangements reportedly operate at Mercedes-Benz, GXO, and DeepMind.

The company says Robot Park’s work will support Apollo3, a commercial robot planned to ship with built-in intelligence. It also does not disclose Robot Park’s fleet size, specific tasks, task-success rates, autonomy levels, uptime, payload, or battery life.
