#RoboCup2026 – humanoid league day 2

RoboCup 2026’s second day of humanoid soccer competition concluded with teams representing 17 countries across three divisions. China had the largest presence, with 15 teams, while participating countries ranged from Colombia and Malaysia to Germany and Australia. Before competing, applicants submitted qualification videos, team description papers, and details of their robots and software.

The event recorded its first red card the previous day after a robot received two yellow cards for unsafe challenges and was removed on safety grounds. The largest robot by both weight and height was HERoEHS’s ALICE 4, at 48kg and 160cm. BigHeroX’s Z4 weighed 37kg, and several teams used the 35kg Unitree G1. ITAndroids’ Chape was the lightest and shortest, at 3.8kg and 53cm.

With seeding rounds nearing completion before knockouts began the next day, CAU Mountain&Sea led the small division after winning all four matches for 12 points and conceding one goal. Hamburg Bit-Bots and GeoHBots followed after three wins and one loss each.

B-Human led the middle division with four wins and a plus-35 goal difference. HTWK Robots, Rhoban, whIRLwind Amsterdam, and THMOS each had nine points. In the large division, Tsinghua Hephaestus remained perfect on nine points after three seeding rounds. PCMS-HRG and Robo-Erectus each had two wins and one draw. After seeding, 12 teams per division would advance to knockout play, with quarterfinals scheduled for the evening.
