U.K.-based Humanoid secures $152M in Series A funding

Humanoid, a London-based AI and robotics company developing industrial humanoid robots, has raised $152 million in a Series A round at a $1.35 billion post-money valuation. The financing brings its total funding to $270 million. The company said the round is the largest Series A completed by a Europe-based humanoid robotics company.
Founded in 2024 as SKL Robotics Ltd., Humanoid currently offers early access to its HMND 01 Alpha Wheeled robot, a bimanual mobile manipulator. It is also developing a bipedal model. Its robots use KinetIQ, the company’s AI framework for end-to-end orchestration of humanoid robot fleets. KinetIQ Ascend adds trial-and-error learning capabilities.
Humanoid plans to direct the new capital toward developing and launching a next-generation humanoid platform, expanding AI and software work on its proprietary KinetIQ system, and beginning mass production of wheeled semi-humanoid robots. It also intends to pursue long-term commercial deployments in logistics, manufacturing, retail, and other sectors. Rollout of beta robots is planned for the fourth quarter of 2026, and the company said it is already deploying with several early-access customers.
Schaeffler is participating as both a strategic investor and commercial partner. Robert Bosch Robotics has entered a manufacturing partnership with Humanoid; Bosch will serve as its contract manufacturing partner and provide consulting and technical expertise in hardware design, production, and supply chain.
The funding arrives amid rising investment in humanoid robotics and physical AI. The article notes that capital is increasingly supporting companies developing general-purpose physical AI and foundation models, while major funding rounds remain concentrated in early-stage financing as the sector moves from research prototypes toward logistics and manufacturing pilots.
